Happy Birthday James

My eldest grandson is 19 years old today...I really don't feel old enough to have grandchildren that old..! Though right now I am a little under the weather, fighting off bronchitis with aloe vera, bee propolis and good food!

This year will be my second Christmas without Peter and I will stay at home alone...My wonderful family have other things to do so I will only go visiting on the weekend after Christmas and this I think will suit everyone. Another new experience and after all I can have fun on my own, just hoping the weather will be OK then my dog and I can go for some long walks. I have plans to watch films, read books, eat great food.....and all in just two days!

Experiencing Life

Experiencing life for all of us comes in different ways....just been reading Patricia's blog and she is off on another adventure, she is doing great things and enjoying life to the full!!

My rather more pedestrian life took me to Cheltenham yesterday when I had a terrific turn out for my workshop on Body Wisdom....we looked at nutrition, the effects stress has on the body and mind,
kinesiology (muscle testing for allergies) , EFT and how the body works physically, mentally and emotionally.

We closed the workshop with a meditation and visualisation and we were all thoroughly 'chilled out'.

So my days are currently not adventurous like my sisters but I am still moving out of my comfort zone and stretching my abilities as far as I can...and bit by bit I just get better ....and better. Just like travelling really. Early next year I am presenting at an EFT Gathering in Yorkshire and running another 2 day EFT Training weekend and a workshop in Cleethorpes, pretty big stuff for me.

Also I offer people a chance to create better lives for themselves, in some cases to start their own business and see a decent return for their efforts.

My travelling and wild adventure will have to be on hold for a while but I know that I can someday.

Frantic time with VAT

It is December 1st today the VAT changes from 17.5% to 15%, this is great for shoppers though two and a half percent off items is not much.

No the real problem is the time and money businesses are having to throw at the problem to make the changes.

One of my business, the one I am trying hard to leave behind, is accountancy and bookkeeping....so this week I have taught (refreshed) myself how to make the changes on Sage and QuickBooks, sent out emails with the details to all my clients and hope that they can manage this on their own...!

Now back to what I want to do in life....but it's all 'people helping' and that is what I do.

Catch up day

When I am not doing a workshop, Pink Pigs Flying was postponed until January, Sunday is my 'catch up day'. There are so many things in life that just get left...one being the filing!. I have two baskets in which various papers are flung, to await the filing day and they were both overflowing, so I guess today has been very productive. It certainly makes me feel good now it's all done.

I am roasting root vegetables in the oven and the smell is making me hungry, so that's it for today. Apart from Julie Walters autobiography 'That's Another Story' that Simon and Kay gave me for my birthday; I read a bit each night in bed and I alternate between tears and laughter...what a woman, get it if you can.

EFT Tapping circle

I am running a Tapping Circle each month and I find that the participants, though only a few a the moment are getting much more out of this than I expected.

Also I am hoping to do a 40 minutes presentation on 31stJan/1st February 09 in Ilkely with Gwyneth Moss, at her EFT Gathering. I will be talking about a variation I use, TFB.....thinking, feeling, being, it works really well for relationship problems.

Visiting family

It's Wednesday already and I have now recovered from a weekend in London with my family and grandchildren. I was treated like royalty as it was my birthday last Friday and my granddaughters helped me to blow out my one candle on top of a fantastic lemon drizzle cake my daughter had made.

My eldest son gave me a card with a badge...not had one like that before "Top Mum x" was the logo and I wore it with pride all day.

On Saturday my daughter and I had some quality time without her little girls and we did Oxford Street, Covent Garden and had a generally good 'girls' time!! Sunday all the family came over for lunch, with the exception of Matt my youngest who lives in Thailand...I always miss him most when the rest of my children are together!!

Will there still be honey for tea?

I am sure you know that we have a world wide issue regarding bees..! There is a widely spread virus that is killing them off by the million and without bees we will have a problem growing crops. No crops means no food to eat and nothing to feed animals. So this is a big problem.

I was reminded yesterday whilst listening to Farming Today on Radio 4, one of the UK's largest honey packers Rouse was saying that there will be no UK honey packaged after Christmas this year.

If you are one of the many who use local honey as a natural remedy for Hay Fever, get your honey stocks in now. It's not just Poo Bear who will be sad...........
